Meijer announced Friday morning beginning next Monday, all customers visiting any of their stores stretched out across six states will be required to wear face masks.

Founded in 1934, Meijer has 253 stores nationwide. There are 18 Meijer locations in Illinois, including a location in Bradley. Other stores are located in Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, and Wisconsin.

The announcement caps off a week of retailers nationwide requiring face coverings of some sort when visiting establishments as pandemic numbers continue to grow throughout the nation.  Earlier this week, Walmart, Best Buy, Kroger, Starbucks, Target and CVS all made similar announcements to their customers that either began this week, or will by next.
