Chicago Heights Teen Faces Homicide Charge in Fatal Homewood Crash that Killed Woman

HOMEWOOD, IL – A 19-year-old Chicago Heights resident, Deondre Bing, has been arrested and charged with one count of reckless homicide, following a fatal crash that took place in September, claiming the life of a Country Club Hills resident.

According to Homewood Police the September 6th crash happened around 8:45 AM at the intersection of 183rd Street & Kedzie Avenue. Responders from both the Homewood Police and Fire Departments were on the scene to find a grey Ford, black Volkswagen, and orange Nissan entangled. 76-year-old Grace Hill of Country Club Hills, driving one of the vehicles, was taken to South Suburban Hospital where she was later pronounced dead. Two others sustained minor injuries.

Bing, who was initially taken into custody but released pending further investigation, was officially charged on October 27th. The exact circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation. Witnesses are urged to reach out to Homewood Police at 708/206-3420.
