DuPage County, IL – Hit-and-Run on I-88 Claims Life in Oak Brook, Suspect Sought

Oak Brook, IL – A devastating incident unfolded on I-88 westbound near Oak Brook early Sunday morning, resulting in one fatality. 

According to Illinois State Police reports it happened around 8:23am when the victim, whose identity is pending notification of next of kin, was involved in an initial crash around the 138.5-mile marker. While outside their vehicle, they were hit by a white Jeep, which then fled the scene.

The collision prompted authorities to close the highway for investigation. As of now, details about the suspect or the Jeep involved remain scarce, and the investigation continues. This incident has caused significant disruption and sorrow in the community, with law enforcement actively seeking information on the hit-and-run driver.
