Chicago, IL – Missing Bolingbrook Man Reported Missing in 2022 Found Deceased in Chicago

Chicago, IL – Over two years after his disappearance, Edward Gardner of Bolingbrook, initially reported missing in March 2022, has been found dead in Chicago. 

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the identity of the remains found as Gardner’s, providing a somber conclusion to his family’s long-held hopes of finding him alive. The last confirmed sighting of Gardner was in Chicago on March 13, 2022, just a day before his family reported him missing to the Oswego Police.

According to the latest update from the Oswego Police Department, although the search for Gardner as a missing person has ended, the investigation into the circumstances of his death is actively continuing. 

Law enforcement continues to seek information and collaborate with multiple agencies to uncover more details surrounding his untimely death. The community and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist in the ongoing investigation.
