Oak Brook, IL – A newspaper delivery person alerted a homeowner to a fire early Wednesday on Kimberly Lane in Oak Brook, IL. The Oak Brook Fire Department responded at 6:44 a.m.

According to the Oak Brook Fire Department, crews arrived within three minutes and observed heavy smoke and flames from an accessory structure. Firefighters quickly contained the blaze, extinguishing it within 22 minutes.

No injuries were reported, but the structure sustained significant damage. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
