Odell, IL – An industrial accident in Morris has claimed the life of 44-year-old Cory Umgelder, a resident of Odell and father of three, leaving the community in shock. 

Known for his vibrant personality and deep commitment to his family, Umgelder’s sudden passing on April 3rd has prompted a widespread response. A GoFundMe campaign established to support his wife Jamie and their children, Justin, Madelyn, and Andi, has garnered significant attention, raising $7,340 towards a $10,000 goal.

Generosity is shown in nearly a hundred donations, highlighting the community’s resolve to provide for the Umgelder family amidst this crisis. Organized by Kyle Umgelder, the fundraiser is more than a collection of contributions; it represents a collective embrace, offering financial relief and moral support.
