Lockport Woman Charged with DUI After Crashing into Manhattan, Illinois Bar

Lockport, Illinois – A 31-year-old woman from Lockport, identified as Tatiana Esparza, has been charged with DUI following an early morning crash on November 28th into the Midtown Bar and Grill in Manhattan, Illinois. 

The incident, which occurred around 1:30 AM, resulted in significant structural damage to the bar, located at 100 S. State Street. Fortunately, the bar was closed during the crash, and Esparza sustained non-life-threatening injuries, requiring transport to Silver Cross Hospital. Surveillance footage revealed the vehicle entering the parking lot at high speed, jumping a curb, and colliding with the building. 

Esparza is scheduled for a court appearance in Will County on December 15th. Details regarding the bar’s reopening after repairs remain uncertain.
