CHICAGO — Walking into any of the 138 Illinois DMV facilities just got a lot clearer. With the introduction of striking navy-blue vests, employees will now be instantly recognizable to customers, part of a rebranding effort announced today by Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias.

Showcased in a video release, these union-made vests, now donned by over 1,800 DMV staffers, not only elevate the professional atmosphere but also aim to improve the overall customer experience.

Beyond the vests, the state has ambitious plans to refresh DMV interiors, secure better leases, and bring uniform signage to all locations, all geared toward enhancing the DMV journey for Illinois residents.
