One Hospitalized in Single Vehicle Crash in Iroquois County

Martinton, IL – One person was hospitalized following a single vehicle crash in rural Martinton, Illinois, late last week. 

According to the Iroquois County Sheriff’s Police, the incident occurred when 55-year-old Muriel Mistro of Martinton, driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee, failed to yield the right of way at the intersection of County Roads 2850 North and 1850 East to a Ford F-150 pickup. The resulting collision led to the Jeep rolling over. 

Mistro was subsequently taken to Riverside Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the truck reportedly was not injured in the incident.
