Teens Arrested for Vehicle Theft at Peoria International Airport

Peoria, IL – In a late-night operation at Peoria International Airport, Peoria County Sheriff’s Office successfully apprehended two individuals involved in a vehicle theft. 

According to police reports on December 14th, around 12:10 a.m., a deputy patrolling the airport parking lot noticed signs of a rummaged vehicle. Further investigation led to the discovery of a stolen vehicle and the subsequent arrest of Jamar L. Deese, 18, and a 16-year-old juvenile, both local to Peoria. They face alleged charges including Motor Vehicle Theft and Possession of Ammo without a FOID. 

Sheriff Chris Watkins commended the deputies and detectives for their prompt action and reminded the public of the importance of vehicle security at the airport. The Sheriff’s Office maintains a 24/7 presence at the airport to enhance safety.
