Braidwood, IL – Division Street Railroad Crossing Closure Scheduled for Maintenance Through April 17

Braidwood, IL – Commuters in Braidwood will need to plan alternate routes as the Division Street Railroad Crossing is set to close for maintenance. 

Beginning late Monday night, the closure began as part of Union Pacific Railway’s maintenance schedule. According to local officials, the crossing will reopen by 5:00 p.m. on April 17th. Detours via Center Street, Main Street, and Coal City Road remain open, with local emergency services and Reed Custer School District duly informed. Updates will be shared by Union Pacific as they become available.
