Frankfort Police Find Evidence of Gunfire in Subdivision Near Forest Preserve Late Sunday Night

Frankfort, IL – Frankfort police responded to a report of shots fired at approximately 10:11 p.m. late Sunday night near the 21300 block of Longview Drive, close to the Hunters Woods County Forest Preserve. Upon arrival, officers found evidence indicating a firearm had been discharged.

According to the Frankfort Police Department, the incident was isolated, and no injuries were reported. Authorities confirmed there is no immediate threat to the community. The investigation remains active as detectives work to gather more information.
