Lockport, IL – Lockport Police responded to a disturbing incident on Monday night after a doorbell camera reportedly recorded a man exposing himself at a residence on the 1300 block of S. State St.Â
According to Lockport police reports the victim, a 51-year-old woman, reported the indecent exposure, which occurred approximately 30 minutes before she was alerted by her camera. The footage reportedly showed Stephen M. Richardson, 36, of Lockport, allegedly inappropriately exposing and touching himself in front of her door.
Following the incident, Richardson was not immediately located by police, leading detectives to take over the investigation. They secured a Public Indecency arrest warrant from the Will County State’s Attorney’s Office on Thursday. Richardson was arrested at his residence early Friday morning and was taken to the Will County Adult Detention Facility to await his pretrial detention hearing.
