Hamilton County, IN – As Hamilton County prepares for the Total Solar Eclipse on April 8, 2024, a series of captivating murals has begun to transform the urban landscape.

According to Hamilton County Tourism officials, these public artworks, unveiled across Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville, and Westfield, offer residents and visitors a unique way to connect with the upcoming celestial event. Crafted by artist Andrea Haydon, known for merging historical inspiration with contemporary design, the murals incorporate a 1922 Hamilton County Sanborn map, adding a touch of local heritage to the cosmic depiction.

Installed in early April, the murals not only enhance the aesthetic appeal of the towns but also serve as educational pieces, detailing the phases of the solar eclipse. This initiative is part of a broader effort to invigorate public spaces while fostering community engagement with art and science.
