Merrillville Police to Conduct Advanced Training at Local School: What Residents Need to Know

Merrillville, IN – The Merrillville Police Department has announced an upcoming police training session scheduled for the evening of May 15, 2024, at Salk Elementary School, located at 3001 W 77th Avenue.

This training exercise will incorporate the department’s latest advancements in technology, including the use of the ARO system and drones.

Residents are advised not to be alarmed if they notice a significant presence of police vehicles around the school during these hours. The police department extends its gratitude to the Merrillville School Corporation for the use of their facilities, emphasizing the partnership’s role in enhancing community safety.
