Indiana Motorcyclist Airlifted Following Early Wednesday Ditch Crash

CHESTERTON, IN – A motorcyclist crashed into a ditch early Wednesday on Ind. 49 near 100E/North Tremont Road. 

According to responders arriving on scene the rider wasn’t wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and sustained a head injury, but remained conscious. 

Deputy Fire Chief Rudy Jimenez reported the individual was quickly airlifted to a trauma center from Fairhaven Baptist Academy’s nearby fields. An investigation by Porter County Sheriff’s Police is ongoing at this time.
