URBANA, IL — A 15-year-old Urbana male has been arrested in relation to a series of robberies targeting women near the University of Illinois campus.
According to the Urbana Police Department and University of Illinois Police report, the juvenile was apprehended by a joint task force from the Urbana Police Department and the University of Illinois Police on December 12, 2023. The arrest occurred near the intersection of Busey and Green streets, following investigations into three separate incidents of women walking alone being robbed in the campus area.
