BRADLEY – An Alsip man was arrested Wednesday after reportedly pulling a knife on Menards employees.

According to Bradley Police, store personnel attempted to stop 38-year-old Marcus A. Phelan of Alsip outside of the store Wednesday after he reportedly tried to steal drills from the retailer.  That’s when Phelan reportedly pulled a knife on store employees before taking off on foot.

Police later found Phelan nearby on Uncle Leo Drive hiding behind a car.  A knife was located under the car.  Phelan was booked on charges of felony retail theft along with aggravated assault and was held on $25,000 bond.
