CHICAGO, IL – The Illinois 4-H Hooks Us Together Fishing Tournament is set to cast off this April, promising a season of competitive angling for the state’s youth. The event is open to all Illinois 4-H members enrolled in a Sport Fishing Project.

According to the Illinois 4-H organization, participants must follow the Illinois Department of Natural Resources fishing regulations. Competitors will need a smartphone to photograph their catch, showcasing the fish’s length for entry submission, which opens on April 1. The tournament runs monthly with different fish in focus: Crappie in April, Largemouth Bass in May, and Channel Catfish in June.

For additional information or accommodations, individuals are encouraged to contact Curt Sinclair as provided in the event details. The community eagerly anticipates the youthful spirit and skill this tournament is known to display each year.
