Aurora Police Respond to Reports of Active Shooter, No Evidence Found

Aurora, Illinois – Aurora Police Department (APD) responded to multiple reports of an active shooter at a business on Kirk Road, Aurora, Illinois, on Thursday, at 9:40 p.m. 

According to police, officers found no evidence of a shooting after evacuating patrons and conducting a thorough search of the premises. The preliminary investigation revealed that an individual had brandished a firearm outside the business before fleeing in a vehicle. This incident remains under active investigation by the APD. 

Authorities encourage anyone with information to contact the Aurora Police’s Investigations Division or the Aurora Area Crime Stoppers. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through the website
