PEOTONE – Bengtsons Christmas Tree Farm has sold its last Christmas Tree, ending its business of selling the seasonal centerpieces.

The sudden announcement came Thursday abruptly when the business informed its nearly 10,000 followers it would no longer sell trees at it’s location at 10919 W. Wilmington Rd.

“We are sad to announce the farm will no longer be selling trees. We will miss seeing all the happy families who visited each year. We want to thank everyone who has visited in the past years.”  The Business said in a message posted to its Facebook page.

Details on the closure were not made readily available.

For years Bengtsons Christmas Tree Farm offered a wide variety of trees including Douglas Fir, Colorado Spruce, and other White Pine.
