Bensenville, IL – Firefighters Extinguish Overnight Blaze in Residential Area

Bensenville, IL – Early Monday, the Addison Fire Protection District #1 tackled a blaze within a residential home in Bensenville, IL. 

According to the official press release, the fire was reported around 4:24 AM at a location in the unincorporated area of North Central Avenue and East Oak Meadows Drive. Crews, arriving by 4:30 AM, found the first floor engulfed and swiftly engaged to extinguish the fire, fully containing it by 4:52 AM. Thankfully, no injuries were reported, and the presence of functioning smoke alarms and an emergency escape plan were credited for ensuring the safety of the residents. 

The fire’s cause remains under investigation, and the house has been declared uninhabitable due to the extent of the damage.
