Central Indiana Braces for Stormy Weather to Start June

Indianapolis, IN – Central Indiana is set to experience a stormy start to June as widespread showers and isolated thunderstorms move through the region. Today, residents can expect rain and occasional thunderstorms, with temperatures ranging from 68 to 73 degrees.

According to the US National Weather Service Indianapolis, rain and storm chances will decrease on Sunday and Monday, providing a brief respite from the wet weather. However, the likelihood of precipitation is expected to increase again starting Tuesday and continuing into Wednesday. Tuesday’s forecast shows a 60% chance of thunderstorms, while Wednesday sees an 80% chance, accompanied by highs in the low 80s and lows in the mid-60s.

Meteorologists are advising residents to prepare for varying weather conditions and potential thunderstorms throughout the week. The rain today is expected to move in from the southwest, with most areas seeing rain by noon. Showers are predicted to continue throughout the afternoon before decreasing in coverage by the evening, with isolated rumbles of thunder possible.
