Champaign, IL – Champaign Police responded to a call regarding shots fired at a residence on the 1400 block of N. Hickory Street at approximately 9:24 p.m. on Friday, March 22, 2024.
Upon their arrival, authorities were informed that a 24-year-old female victim had been transported to a local hospital by private means. The woman, a Champaign resident, is currently in stable condition following the incident at a party where she was reportedly struck by a single bullet. Law enforcement officials are actively seeking witnesses and reviewing video evidence from the area’s exterior surveillance systems to aid their ongoing investigation. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection to the shooting.
