DuPage County Judge Denies Bail for Two in Chainsaw Theft, 120 MPH Chase on I-55

Oak Brook, IL – Two Chicago men accused of stealing chainsaws and leading police on a 120 mph chase have been denied bail. 

Kawann Moore, 39, and Richard Pegue, 35, allegedly took two chainsaws from a truck in Lombard before fleeing in a minivan. 

According to DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin, the suspects reached 120 mph on I-55 during the chase, nearly hitting a motorcyclist. The pursuit ended in Willow Springs, where both men were apprehended. 

Their next court appearance is scheduled for June 10.
