Elmhurst, IL – The Elmhurst Commission on Youth and local law enforcement are proactively addressing digital dangers faced by teens with an upcoming event titled “Digital Safety for Students.” This educational session is scheduled for March 5, 2024, at the City Hall Council Chambers.

According to the City of Elmhurst, this initiative brings together the Elmhurst Police Department, School Resource Officers, and the Illinois Attorney General’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. The collaboration aims to equip young people and their guardians with strategies to sidestep online risks, especially sextortion, a growing concern in the digital age. The event will also shed light on the risks associated with synthetic cannabis products like Delta 8 THC.
