Estranged Husband reportedly drove Truck into Woman’s Home after threatening texts

HOBART – Police are asking for more information after a man allegedly drove his truck into his estranged wife’s house.

According to Hobart Police, it happened at 3:50 p.m. Wednesday afternoon when the estranged husband reportedly sent threatening texts to the woman before running his truck into her house.  

“She told police she was sitting on her couch in the front living room, near the front window, when she heard a loud crash and she jumped up from the couch.  She heard and felt her home get struck by a vehicle. She told police her estranged husband then ran into the home.” Hobart Police said in a statement. 

Hobart K-9 units later tracked down the 58-year-old man after he fled the home, who’s from Hobart.  He was transported to the hospital and treated for injuries.
