Grain Auger Nightmare: Illinois Worker’s Leg Entrapped in Industrial Accident

CHANNAHON, IL – Monday morning took a horrific turn for one worker at the Northfield Block Company on 3400 E Bungalow Rd in Channahon. 

According to emergency services, a worker at the site experienced a horrific accident when their leg was caught in a grain auger. Morris Fire Protection District initiated a meticulous technical rescue, drawing on Lifestar and mustering multiple heavy rescue teams. 

First responders administered a bilateral tourniquets, however after an intense extrication process, the worker was reported unresponsive.  The worker’s condition is unknown at this time.

Local authorities advise residents and passersby to avoid the area, while the worker’s condition remains gravely uncertain.
