Chicago, IL – NORAD, the North American Aerospace Defense Command, has activated its annual Santa Tracker for the 68th year, providing real-time updates on Santa Claus’ journey this Christmas Eve.

The tracker, which went live this morning, allows children and families to monitor Santa’s progress as he travels around the world delivering presents. In addition to online tracking, NORAD offers a special phone service for those without internet access.

By calling 1-877-HI-NORAD, starting at 6 a.m. ET on Christmas Eve, families can receive live updates from operators. This service is a delightful tradition that adds to the holiday spirit, as children eagerly await Santa’s arrival. The Santa Tracker, a blend of holiday magic and modern technology, continues to captivate imaginations across Illinois and beyond.
