West Lebanon, IN – An early Thursday morning traffic stop in West Lebanon resulted in the arrest of a Danville, Illinois resident thanks to the efforts of an Indiana K-9 unit.
Indiana State Police reported that an officer pulled over a 1999 Toyota Avalon near 8th and High Streets just after 1 a.m. Observing signs of alleged criminal activity, the officer requested a K-9 unit for further investigation. A Warren County Sheriff’s Deputy and his K-9 partner responded, and the dog indicated the presence of narcotics in the vehicle.
During the search, officers reportedly discovered a suspected controlled substance and marijuana. Minke Pos, 39, of Danville, was identified as the passenger and found with a substance believed to be methamphetamine. Pos was arrested and transported to the Warren County Jail, while the driver was released at the scene.
Preliminary investigations indicated that the suspected methamphetamine weighed around 50 grams. The exact nature and weight of the substance will be determined by the Indiana State Police Laboratory. Pos faces multiple charges, including dealing and possession of methamphetamine, possession of a Schedule V substance, and possession of marijuana.
