LAFAYETTE, Ind. — An unsettling double fatality unfolded on Indiana’s Route 52 near County Road 400 West yesterday evening, as a northbound Jeep Grand Cherokee collided with a Pontiac G2. The incident, which occurred just before 9:30 p.m., drew a rapid response from the Indiana State Police.
Indiana State Police reports say the Jeep struck the driver side of the Pontiac as it journeyed west on US 52. The collision resulted in the unfortunate demise of the Pontiac’s driver and a passenger.
Two others, including the Jeep’s driver, have been hospitalized with unknown conditions.
Multiple local agencies, such as West Lafayette Police, Purdue Fire Department, and the Tippecanoe County Coroner’s Office, provided assistance at the crash site.
The coroner’s office is expected to release more details about the victims soon. Further developments on this incident remain anticipated.
