Dyer, IN – Commuters on US Highway 30, particularly between US 41 and the Indiana state line, will face significant traffic changes starting April 15. Superior Construction is scheduled to initiate extensive roadwork aimed at enhancing roadway safety and accessibility. This project will lead off with modifications to the left lanes and the center turn lane stretching from US 41 to Calumet Avenue, eventually extending towards the state line.
The operation is set to prioritize the reconstruction of the center lanes and the installation of ADA-compliant ramps from US 41 to Calumet Avenue, moving sequentially towards the state boundary. Subsequent phases will focus on the eastbound right lanes from the state line back to Calumet Avenue, where patching and ADA ramp construction are also planned.
This initiative will continue with improvements to the eastbound right lanes from Calumet Avenue to US 41, followed by enhancements to the westbound right lanes from US 41 to Calumet Avenue, and finally, from Calumet Avenue to the state line.
Each stage of the project is meticulously planned to ensure efficient progress in road patching and the installation of ADA-compliant ramps, with minimal disruption to daily traffic. Dyer’s town officials and Superior Construction request the public’s understanding and cooperation during these necessary improvements and advise checking the town’s official website for ongoing updates and traffic advisories.
