Indianapolis, IN – Quick Response Contains Budget 8 Inn Blaze, No Injuries Reported

Indianapolis, IN – A fire at the Budget 8 Inn on 6850 E 21st St. was swiftly brought under control by the Indianapolis Fire Department (IFD) today. 

According to IFD, the emergency call, made by the building management at 12:23 PM, reported a fire in room 231. IFD crews, arriving just 2 minutes after dispatch, managed to get water on the fire within 5 minutes. The blaze was under control in 15 minutes. 

No injuries have been reported in the incident. IFD and Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) Fire Investigators are currently investigating the cause. Meanwhile, the management is arranging alternative accommodations within the building for those displaced by the fire.
