KANKAKEE – The Kankakee Chamber of Commerce is inviting locals to participate in Small Business Saturday next weekend.

Community members can enter a contest all week next week, beginning Saturday, November 28 through Saturday, December 5 on Facebook by posting a picture of themselves shopping locally, tagging the Chamber, and using the hashtag #KankakeeCountyShopSmall2020. There will be a raffle to select winners, and multiple entries are allowed.

“Our small and local businesses need our support even more this holiday season as COVID-19 mitigations continue to affect their day to day operations,” says Rachel Schramm, volunteer Social Media Chair for the Chamber. “Let’s all choose to shop small and shop local together, and this fun contest through the Chamber is just one way to help promote supporting local businesses within the community.”

You can find more information on the Chamber’s Facebook page and event page.
