Kankakee County, IL – 14 Local Schools Receive Over $11k in Sports Donations from Riverside Healthcare

Kankakee, IL – Riverside Healthcare’s annual Scores for Schools program has made substantial donations to local high schools, contributing to the development of their sports seasons. Over the course of a few weeks, the program has donated over $11,000 to 14 high schools in the region.

The generous contributions have been made to schools such as Beecher High School and Bishop McNamara High School, among others, with the donations aimed at enhancing athletic programs and fostering young talent. These funds are particularly timely, providing essential resources following the 2023 fall sports season.

The donations, which range from $390 to $1,800, were presented between March 1, 2024, and March 17, 2024. The initiative is a testament to Riverside Healthcare’s commitment to youth sports and the belief in the positive impact of athletic involvement in students’ lives.

The community has warmly received this gesture, with accolades coming from school officials and the athletes themselves, who are excited about the prospects that these funds will open up for them.
