Hammond, IN – Motorists in Lake County should prepare for overnight lane closures on I-94 this week to accommodate new traffic configurations near U.S. 41/Indianapolis Blvd and Kennedy Ave. Starting Thursday, westbound I-94 will feature two lanes of traffic to the left and two to the right of the work zone, while eastbound traffic will shift right with the work zone to the left.
According to the Indiana Department of Transportation, these configurations will last through mid-June, weather permitting. Existing ramp closures at the U.S. 41 and Kennedy Ave interchanges will remain until late June. Bridge deck overlay work on I-94 will continue through late August.
