Blues Sensation Selwyn Birchwood Lights up Bradley at American Legion in June

BRADLEY, IL – Award-winning Florida bluesman Selwyn Birchwood is set to ignite the stage with a live performance at the American Legion on Sunday, June 18, 2023. 

The concert marks the celebration of Birchwood’s fourth Alligator Records album, Exorcist, which is scheduled for release on June 9th. Birchwood, hailed as a rising blues star, brings a fresh spin to the genre, breathing new life into tradition. Rolling Stone describes him as “a remarkable, contemporary bluesman…a powerhouse young guitarist and soulful vocalist.” 

Dubbed “Electric Swamp Funkin’ Blues,” Birchwood’s visionary, original music captivates audiences with its fusion of deep blues, psychedelic-tinged rock, funky beats, and soulful Southern melodies, all delivered with fiery passion.

Exorcist, available on purple vinyl LP, CD, and across popular streaming platforms, promises to captivate listeners with its electrifying energy and thought-provoking lyrics. The album’s first single, “Florida Man,” inspired by real-life events, is out now on radio and streaming services.
