Illegal U-Turn in Maserati Results in Fatal Crash on Chicago’s Far South Side

CHICAGO, IL – A 41-year-old woman lost her life in a crash that occurred on Chicago’s Far South Side on Saturday night. 

According to Chicago police, the incident happened when a Maserati attempted to make an illegal U-turn on 130th Street and struck a Nissan going in the opposite direction. The woman, who was a passenger in the Nissan, was rushed to the University of Chicago Medical Center, but she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead.

The drivers of both vehicles were given citations, and the Major Accidents Investigation Unit is conducting an investigation into the crash. 

Police have not released the identities of those involved in the accident, and it is unclear if any criminal charges will be filed.
