SKOKIE, IL – Jacob Spiro, a 23-year-old Illinois resident, has been arrested on allegations in relation to 16 bomb threats that alarmed several communities including Skokie, Niles, Wilmette, Glenview, and Northbrook.

The Skokie Police Department disclosed the arrest on Wednesday morning, following an exhaustive multi-jurisdictional investigation. Niles Police detained Spiro on October 9. He is now facing two felony charges for falsely making terrorist threats, plus a disorderly conduct charge, all sanctioned by the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office.

As Spiro’s Pre-Trial Release Hearing looms on October 11, the authorities emphasize that an indictment is not a declaration of guilt, upholding the principle of presumed innocence.
