Kankakee Police Searching for Missing 14-Year-Old

KANKAKEE, Ill.– Authorities in Kankakee are on the lookout for a missing juvenile, Jeremiah Mcatee, who left his South Elm Avenue residence after a disagreement Sunday.

Mcatee, who is 14 years old and of mixed race, is described as being 5 feet tall and weighing approximately 150 lbs. He was last seen wearing a red and black hooded sweatshirt and is believed to be riding a red BMX bicycle.

Kankakee City Police are actively investigating the case and urge anyone with information about Mcatee’s whereabouts to contact 911 immediately.

The department has also asked community members to keep an eye out for the missing teen and report any sightings or information that may be relevant to the case.

As the search continues, police have reminded parents and guardians to monitor their children’s activities and keep a close eye on their whereabouts, particularly during this time when kids may be spending more time outside due to the warmer weather.
