Man charged with felony after firing Gun into air, Yard was being Toilet Papered

MINOOKA – A man was booked on felony charges Sunday night after he allegedly fired his gun into the air multiple times because two kids were toilet papering his yard.

According to the Minooka Police Department, it happened September 11th around 10 p.m. on Avalon Way when 24-year-old Alfredo Serrano reportedly got a ring notification of two kids toilet papering his yard.

Serrano reportedly headed to his yard where he fired three shots into the air with his gun while the juveniles were still in the yard.  Serrano later told police he felt endangered that the people were there to commit a crime.

Serrano has been charged with Reckless Discharge of a Firearm, a class four felony, and was released on $3,000 bond.
