State Fire Marshall was called into Union Hill Friday afternoon after reports of a blaze that had engulfed a lumber mill and metal shop, along with the town’s Post Office.  Lance Marczak of Kankakee was on hand and shared the devastation, by air as the blaze raged on.

Later, on the ground, we see the devastation first hand.

Reports in tonight by eyewitness at the scene say a few more hours will be required at the scene this evening.  Fire companies as far north as Orland Park, New Lenox, Lockport and Braidwood where involved in battling the inferno. No one was transferred to area hospitals due to the blaze.
