Crown Point Woman Fatally Ejected from Truck after Colliding with Trees

JASPER COUNTY, IN – A 32-year-old Crown Point woman was tragically ejected from her pickup truck after colliding with trees along C.R. 1200 W. on August 11th.

According to Jasper County Sheriff’s Department, Rebecca M. Crane of Crown Point was in the single vehicle accident at 10:12 A.M. last Friday morning. Sheriff’s Office swiftly responded to a 911 call reporting the accident, joined by Keener Township Ambulance and Fire Services. 

Preliminary investigations showed Crane was driving a 2014 Dodge Ram pickup truck southbound on C.R. 1200 W. For reasons yet unknown, the truck veered across the center line, careening off the road and crashing into multiple trees on the left side. The impact was so intense that Crane was ejected from the vehicle.

Crane, the sole occupant of the truck, succumbed to her injuries at the scene.  Jasper County Sheriff’s Office are continuing their investigation into the crash.
