BEECHER, IL – In response to a gas leak, the Beecher Police Department (PD) has announced the closure of Dixie Highway (Route #1) late Tuesday morning between Chestnut and Church Road in Beecher.
The closure comes as a precautionary measure to ensure public safety and facilitate repairs. No timeframe was issued for repairs.
Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes until further notice.
