PEOTONE, IL – A heartrending incident on Route 45 has sparked an overwhelming outpouring of support from the local community, rallying around the grieving family of Ali Jadron.

The 27-year-old Lockport resident tragically lost her life after being struck by a car on the night of July 28th. The community’s response has been nothing short of remarkable, with friends Emily Winterfeldt and Olivia Snodgrass spearheading a GoFundMe campaign that has amassed over $16,000 in donations.

“Ali was the kindest, most caring, young wild beautiful soul you could’ve ever met,” the duo said in the GoFundMe.  “She was so dedicated to her job at Autozone in New Lenox. She always put everyone else first before herself. She was full of love and joy and known by so many people. Ali will forever be in all of our hearts.”

The GoFundMe campaign, initiated to alleviate the weight of funeral expenses, exceeded all expectations, exemplifying the potency of unity during times of heartache. Contributions flooded in from not just the local community, but from distant corners as well, showcasing the far-reaching impact of Ali’s life.

Ali Jadron’s family, deeply moved by the surge of compassion, expressed their heartfelt appreciation for the overwhelming support. In an update on the GoFundMe page, they expressed being “blown away” by the warmth of the community’s embrace.

Illinois State Police are still investigating the crash that killed Jadron.
