MONEE, IL – A Jeep crashed head on into the entrance of a popular Liquor Store early Tuesday morning causing massive damage to the storefront.
According to authorities from the Monee Police Department, the incident took place around 9:20 a.m. at the Monee Liquor Depot located in the 25600 block of Governors Highway. Witnesses reported that a white Jeep, traveling southbound on the roadway, suddenly veered off course, careening eastbound and crashing into the entrance of the liquor store.
The force of the impact not only caused significant damage to the store’s entrance but also affected two parked vehicles nearby. Emergency crews swiftly responded to the scene, ensuring the safety of everyone present inside the store.
Miraculously, no injuries were reported among the occupants of the vehicle or inside the liquor store. However, the driver of the Jeep was transported to a medical facility for treatment of minor injuries. Authorities suspect a possible medical issue that caused the driver to black out, leading to the accident.
