Watseka, IL – A Watseka teacher has been sentenced to four years probation and a $1,000 fine stemming from a sexual relationship with a student investigation.
Stephanie Harmon, a 32-year-old teacher from Watseka, was arrested last fall after authorities received a tip about the relationship, and in turn interview with Harmon, who confessed to the allegations.
Court records state Harmon withdrew her not guilty plea and request for a jury trial last Thursday. She then pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.
Harmon will also be ordered to pay a $1,000 fine as part of the ruling.
