Lowell, Indiana State Road 2 Closed for Urgent Repairs This Evening

Lowell, IN – State Road 2 will be temporarily closed this evening for urgent repairs, causing significant traffic disruptions in the area. According to the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT), the closure will affect the section of State Road 2 to the east of I-65 between Colorado Street and Clay Street. The closure is scheduled to begin around 6 p.m. and last for approximately three hours.

This temporary closure is part of a larger project aimed at addressing critical infrastructure issues on State Road 2. The INDOT has indicated that these repairs are necessary to ensure the safety and durability of the road. The overall project is expected to continue through early July, involving various phases of repair work that will intermittently impact traffic flow.
