Mahomet, IL – An early morning atm attempt involving a stolen vehicle ended with empty hands for suspects.

According to the Mahomet Police Department, the early morning incident at First State Bank of Forrest, located near a McDonald’s in Mahomet, IL, involved a stolen vehicle and an attempted ATM theft. The suspects, after a failed attempt which left them empty-handed, fled the scene initially on foot and then in another vehicle. The police are actively investigating the case but have not released further details at this time.

Sgt. Goodwin #667 from the Mahomet Police Department urges community members to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to METCAD. For emergencies, the public should dial 911, and for non-emergencies, the number to call is 217-333-8911.
