Manhattan, IL – Manhattan Police Department Takes the Plunge for Special Olympics

Manhattan, IL – The Village of Manhattan Police Department is set to make a splash for a good cause. They will participate in the Polar Plunge at Braidwood Recreation Club on Saturday, March 9, 2024, to support the Illinois Special Olympics.

According to event organizers, the team named “Manhattan’s Justice Project” aims to raise funds for local athletes competing in the Special Olympics Illinois. The event, scheduled to start at 12:00 P.M. at 33915 S. IL-53, Braidwood, IL, invites the community to cheer on the brave plungers and contribute to this noble cause.

Those interested in supporting can donate online at Manhattan’s Justice Project fundraising page or in person at the Manhattan Police Department, located at 240 Market Place, Manhattan, IL. The police department and the athletes appreciate the community’s support in making a difference.
